Asylum 101 For Representing Afghans
Since the American withdrawal from Afghanistan, the Biden Administration reports that 83,000 Afghans have arrived in the US. Approximately, 300 Afghan parolees are resettling to the Nashville area. Many families, fleeing persecution in Afghanistan will qualify for asylum and Pro Bono representation is critical in meeting this need. This 2 hour CLE offers a broad overview of asylum and the elements of applying for asylum for Afghan asylum-seekers resettling to Nashville.
